40 years and  going strong!

Our History
Barnabas was the brainchild of its founders Eli and Trish Stutzman, and Dave and Miriam Helsdon.  They knew they were called to ministry and that one of the best ways to reach people was through wilderness and camp.  So they purchased a beautiful piece of land with rolling hills and beautiful old growth forest that runs along the Little Otter Creek.  It is here that they started to build what we now know and love as Barnabas Christian Camp.  For 40 years, children and adults have had their first introduction to Christ, or grown in their relationship with Christ.  Barnabas Christian Camp has grown and evolved over the past 4 decades and hopefully will continue to grow and evolve for 40 more.

Statement of Faith & Code of Conduct

For cabin leaders, we require  each person's personal commitment to following Christ and agreement with our  Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.
For support volunteers, we require each person's co-operation with leadership, campers and other volunteers. It is expected that anyone helping at camp in a support role, who does not fully share all our stated beliefs, will show respect for them in their actions and speech, have a good reputation in the community, and adhere to the first three articles of our code of conduct.
